HydraFacial Near Denton: What to Expect in Argyle
If you live in Denton and you've been searching for a HydraFacial, you've probably noticed most of the options are inside a big chain or come with a long list of upsells. We're about twenty minutes south on US 377, in a quiet suite in Argyle, and the HydraFacial is one of the treatments people book most often with us. Here's what it is, what happens during the appointment, and how to pick between the two versions we offer.
What a HydraFacial does
A HydraFacial cleans, extracts and hydrates the skin in one pass. The provider moves a handheld tip with vortex suction across your face. It loosens dead skin and pulls out what's sitting in your pores, then puts serum back in as it goes. No scraping, no needles.
The short version: it's the facial for when you want your skin to look good soon. If you want your skin to be different in three months, that's a job for microneedling or a peel, and we'll tell you so. But for the week of a wedding, a photo day, or just a bad week, the HydraFacial is the one we point people to.
What to expect at the appointment
The standard HydraFacial takes about 45 minutes. You lie back in a private room, the provider looks at your skin first, and then works through the steps:
- A cleanse and light exfoliation to take off the top layer of dead skin.
- Extraction with the vortex tip, which is where most of the gunk comes out. You can see it in the canister afterward if you want to. Some people really want to.
- Hydrating serums pushed back into the skin with the same tip.
It feels like a cool, slightly wet suction moving across your face. Most people find it relaxing. A few find the extraction step a little ticklish around the nose.
There's no downtime. You can go back to work, run errands in Denton, or meet someone for dinner. If your skin runs sensitive, you might be a little pink for an hour or so.
Can I wear makeup afterward?
Yes, the same afternoon. That's one reason people like it before an event. Your skin will be clean and hydrated, so makeup tends to sit better than usual. We'd still go lighter that day if you can.
HydraFacial or Platinum HydraFacial?
We offer two versions. Both use the same core steps. The difference is how much else comes with it.
The HydraFacial is 45 minutes and $275. It's the cleanse, extract and hydrate treatment described above.
The Platinum HydraFacial is 60 minutes and $315. It adds lymphatic drainage, works down the neck and chest, and finishes with LED light and a jelly mask on top.
If it's your first HydraFacial, the standard one is a fine place to start. If you already know you like it, or you want your neck and chest included, the Platinum is worth the extra fifteen minutes. Neither one has downtime.
How often should you get one?
There's no single right answer, and anyone who gives you one without looking at your skin is guessing. Some people book a HydraFacial before events and that's it. Others like to come in on a regular rhythm. If you want a series, ask when you book and we'll price a package for you. We do packages for facials, peels and microneedling.
Is it right for everyone?
Most people do fine with it, but it's still a treatment on your skin, so tell us what's going on: a recent peel, a new prescription, a breakout you're worried about, or sensitivity you've had with other facials. If something else would suit you better, we'll say so. If you're torn between a HydraFacial and a Glo2 facial, dermaplaning or a peel, the skin consultation is where we sort that out together.
Why make the drive from Denton
We get this question. The honest answer is that Argyle is close, parking is easy, and you won't be rushed. We're one location, not a chain, and we'd rather you leave knowing what would help and what wouldn't than leave with a bag of products you didn't need. People come to us from Denton, Flower Mound, Lantana, Northlake and Bartonville for that reason.
We're at 250 US Hwy 377, Suite 125, in Argyle. Hours are Tuesday through Thursday 9 to 6, and Friday and Saturday 9 to 3. Sunday and Monday we're closed.
