Med Spa in Argyle: 7 Questions Before You Book

Picking a med spa can feel like picking a dentist off a billboard. Every place looks calm in its photos, and every menu is long. If you're looking for a med spa in Argyle, or nearby in Flower Mound, Northlake, Lantana or Bartonville, these are the questions worth asking before you book. We'd ask them of anyone, us included.

1. Will they tell you the price before anything happens?

Some treatments have a set price. A HydraFacial is a HydraFacial. Injectables are different, because the number of units of Botox or syringes of filler depends on your face. That's why we don't list injectable prices online.

What matters is that you get a clear quote at the consultation, before anything is opened. At Southern Grace you get a per-unit or per-syringe price first, and nothing gets injected unless you want it. You should never get a surprise at checkout.

2. Is the first visit a conversation or a sales pitch?

A good first visit feels like a sit-down. A provider looks at your skin, listens to what's bothering you, and tells you what would help and what wouldn't. Sometimes the answer is "nothing yet." Sometimes it's a cheaper treatment than the one you came in asking about.

Pay attention to how the conversation goes. Were you asked what you want, or told what you need? Did anyone mention the downside of a treatment, or only the upside? A provider who would rather under-do it than over-do it is usually the one you want, especially with injectables. You can always add a little more at a follow-up. Taking it back out is harder.

Our injectables consultation is about thirty minutes. If there's time on the book and you're comfortable, you can usually get treated the same visit. Mention it in the notes when you book.

3. Do they do the treatment you actually want?

Look at the full menu, not just the homepage. Under one roof in Argyle we do:

  • Injectables: Botox, Dysport, DAXXIFY, dermal fillers (Juvéderm, Restylane and RHA), Sculptra, EZ Gel and PRF.
  • Laser and body: Sciton BBL and Moxi, Venus Bliss for tightening, sculpting and fat reduction, and laser hair removal.
  • Facials and skin: HydraFacial, Glo2, ZO facials and peels, dermaplaning and SkinPen microneedling.
  • IV and wellness: vitamin drips in the suite or at your house, plus medical weight loss and BHRT by consultation.

If a place doesn't do what you need, they shouldn't talk you into what they do have.

4. What's the aftercare, and what should you skip beforehand?

Ask this before you book, not after. A few examples from our own menu: skip alcohol, fish oil, aspirin and ibuprofen for 48 hours before injectables to cut down on bruising (Tylenol is fine). Stay out of the sun and off tanning beds for two weeks before any laser session. After a peel, expect five to seven days of flaking.

If nobody mentions any of this, that's a sign the visit is moving too fast.

5. How long will results last?

You should get a straight answer here too. Botox and Dysport usually last three to four months. DAXXIFY tends to go longer. Filler runs six to eighteen months depending on the product and where it goes. Sculptra builds gradually over a few months and holds around two years. Everyone is a bit different, so treat those as typical ranges, not guarantees.

6. Can you actually get there?

Sounds obvious, but a med spa you can reach in fifteen minutes is one you'll keep going back to. We're one location, on US 377 in Argyle, with private treatment rooms and a lobby where nobody rushes you. Hours are Tuesday through Thursday 9 to 6, and Friday and Saturday 9 to 3.

7. What do other people say?

Read the reviews and look for specifics: did people feel listened to, were they quoted fairly, would they go back. We're rated 4.9 on Google from more than 100 reviews, and we'd still rather you judge us on your first consultation.

Start with a consultation

If you're new to med spas, or new to us, the easiest first step is a consultation. You'll leave knowing what we'd do, what we wouldn't and what it costs, whether or not you book. Read more about our injectables and the injectables consultation, or find directions and hours on our contact page. You can also call 940-584-1982 Tuesday through Saturday.
